I have been soooooo busy you guys between my on-line store, my job and trying to design some things on the side, not to mention trying to get a little yard work in (which hasn't happened yet). But this is my latest creation (though not my design). It only lasted a few hours on my on-line store...even though I was thrilled to have gotten a sale, it's almost too pretty to let go, **sigh**.

Pisgah Yarn aka Peaches & Creme Yarn
Hello talented ones and those who worship us (LOL)!!! I'm sorry I've been gone for so long, but I've been so busy with orders in my store and there are new projects cooking in my head for the Christmas season!!! But let's talk Pisgah Dye & Yarn Company.
I recently purchased a cone of Peaches & Creme cotton yarn (great for crochet dish cloths) from Wal-Mart. The quality is fairly good compared to Lily's Sugar and Cream, but when I got the cone home to begin my project, I found about 3 to 4 breaks in the yarn. Arrrrgh!!!! That means more unwanted knots in my work!!! Of course I complained to the email address provided on the label. I was informed by "someone" from Pisgah (the name of the company that makes Peaches & Creme) that the breaks probably occurred when an employee from Wal-Mart inadvertently cut the yarn when opening the boxes. I was also informed that they would speak to Wal-Mart about it. They also asked for my mailing address and guess what?? They sent me not ONE but TWO brand new cones of yarn in the same color that I purchased from Wal-Mart. I'm in love with Pisgah again!!! I highly recommed!!!
Check out their website!! The prices and selection and quality are great!!! But make sure you buy in bulk, because the shipping flat cost could be a little steep for a small haul.
Happy Shopping!!!

Happy 4th of July
Hello Everyone!!! Still wrapping up the last order from when my dad was sick in the hospital. Thanks to Dee for being so patient. Luv ya!!
Meanwhile I have been working on new stuff as well. Check out the new baby bonnet. Do babies still wear bonnets? Just wanted to make one because it was cute and matched the booties that I made.
Also doing some gardening, cleaning and personal reflection. I've got to turn my life around and get back on track. I want to get really active in missionary work and outreach community work. I've always enjoyed doing that stuff since college days. I'm hoping between my growing crochet business and working part-time as an MT, that will allow me the time and flexibility to do those things. I want to go back and get a degree in christian education. I thought about teaching in public schools, but I could never work in an atmosphere where it was forbidden to talk about Christ.
Well have a happy 4th everyone. Make it safe, make it fun, and make it glorious!!

Crocheted Dish Cloths..The New Green?
If you've ever tried a crocheted dish cloth, then you'll agree with my next two words...THEY'RE GREAT!!! If you've never tried one, you must...and once you do, you won't use any other kind of cloth. The unique texture makes them great for scrubbing tough stuck on foods without damaging the surface or finish of your dishes or pans. These cloths are made with the natural fiber, cotton, so they're long lasting and great for the environment because it reduces the need for sponges, paper towels, scouring pads, etc.
There are lots of great dish cloths available on Etsy (MyIssaG's Crochet Shop has a great variety of cloths for dishes and personal bath use as well and in such yummy colors too). The cloths above are available in my Etsy shop...GloriousCrochet.

Prayer Changes Things...
I was raised to believe in God by my parents. They taught me how to read the bible and to pray. When I was around 12, I decided to form a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. But when I became an adult, say around 30, I veered away from that path, because I felt it was too stringent and I was missing out on "the fun". Eventually, I've come back to God and I am reading the bible and living a christian life. There is nothing more comforting and safe than knowing our heavenly Father watches over me and that He actually cares. I could write a book about the incredible things He has done in my life both big and small, but I digress. I just want to say, learn to talk to your heavenly Father, and your life will never, ever be the same.
Have a great day!!!

Roses are...
Roses these days are not just red, but violet, yellow, blue, and the list goes on and on. Here in my new design, I've combined my love of Tunisian crochet and roses to create an heirloom baby blanket for a little girl. I've added cross stitching accents to give the design some depth. I will post the finished afghan when it is done.
Thanks for visiting guys and remember to never stop believing in yourself.

Success in Selling
You know, I take great pain in making sure my products look beautiful so that my customers are happy and in so doing, attract more customers. But according to an expert in on-line selling, the chances of the above booty selling is low. Why? It's the wrong color. I was under the false impression that the more colors and variety you offer in your site, the more sales. But after doing a little bit of research, this is not true. Less (products) really is more (customers). So after doing a little tweaking to my store, no more green booties!!! LOL. I will focus on what customers really want and save the green booties for custom orders. If you have a successful on-line bussiness, let me know what worked (or didn't work) for you. Have a gloriously blessed Mother's Day and a great weekend.
